MFT modern bloom thanks card

Today's card and video were a bit late coming this time.  I have been quite sick, first getting a heavy cold that went straight to laryngitis and a horrible cough that I haven't been able to throw, it has been 2 and a half weeks, and I have still not got my voice back completely, but I am definitely better than I was.

The card is a simple but pretty card with some stenciling and then some flowers fussy cut out and placed in an arrangement.

I used a Kaisercraft 12 x 12 stencil and blended some distress inks onto a card topper
with 3 colours that I think go beautifully together, wilted violet, peacock feathers and picked raspberry. I stamped a sentiment with versafine onyx black ink and embossed it with ranger clear embossing powder with my heat tool.  I then die cut a border at the bottom of the topper and put a piece of pink striped paper on the bottom of the card base and then stuck the topper onto the card base with some pink fun foam for a bit of dimension.

The thanks sentiment die is a poppy die, which I cut 4 times, the last time I kept the die in the negative part, popped some removable tape on the back to hold it in place while I inked the bottom of the sentiment with some picked raspberry distress ink and faded it out to give an ombre effect.

The flowers are using the MFT modern blooms flower building set, which turned out to be a bit bigger than I thought they would be, I should have bought the mini set I think, but it was fine for this card.  I stamped them in their different layers with a range of dye, distress and pigment inks that I had, fussy cut them out and arranged them on my card.

Finally a scattering of Pretty pink posh clear sparkling sequins and some white iridencent sequins for a bit of sparkle and that is the card finished.

I can see this stamp set will be quite versatile for quite a few different looks on cards.  I am sure you will see more cards using it in future.
