Dimensional Flower card

This card I wanted to give more of an impression of dimension, but the rest is basically stamping and colouring
I stamped two flowers for each of the main flowers I wanted to put on the card, and then quite a few leaves as I didn’t know how many I would need and then a couple of the flower sprigs.

I coloured them with my zig real brush clean colour markers, but this time I didn’t use water to blend the colour, I used the lightest of whatever colours I was using to do the blending, but had a paper towel next to me in case the brush got too much of the darker colour on it, so that I could keep parts of the petals paler. Two of the larger flowers, I only coloured the flower to the first set of petals.

I then fussy cut all the flowers and leaves out, and went around the edges with a black pen, to neaten them up.  Finally I did a little bit of shaping with my fingers to give the leaves and flowers some dimension.  The two large flowers, I cut one of them to the first set of petals, and the second one I coloured and cut the whole flower.  Then the smaller part of the flower was put onto the second with some scotch foam tape between, this gave the flower a great look of dimension.

Finally the card base, I used a dark red card base, then made a front panel to fit that but cut a scalloped border at the bottom,  stamped my sentiment onto that towards the top, then mounted it onto the card base with some craft foam.  Then I just needed to make an arrangement with the flowers and leaves between  the scalloped border and the sentiment.

I am happy with how it turned out,

Here is the video of making the card, if you prefer to watch it in HD, on my You tube channel then click here
