Three framed flowered teacups

I have made 3 more cards for Fat Cats Card Corner, using a Marianne Creatables frame LR0234.  I have used it to frame 3 images from the Joanna Sheen "From the Heart of the Garden - Jane Shasky" CD.  All teacups with flowers.

This one I have chalked the frame with blue and only used the outside frame which I cut and embossed.  Then added some roses in three different colours that are the same in the teacup, and a simple sentiment done on the computer.  

The second one is this Peony image 

This one I have done the outside frame in pink cardstock, then the inside part is the next size down frame, but I did it in white as a contrast, an this one I also chalked in pale pink, but you can't see it in the photo.  The inside two parts of the frame set, I have used for the sentiment with a couple of tiny pink roses.  The backing paper is also off the CD.

The third card is done with purple frame, and the same middle sized frame/pendant as the one above.

The backing paper is again, done with one from the CD.  I have used a flourish from Memory Box, called Elegant scrollwork, and on it I have put tiny flowers done with a hand punch in the shape of a flower and put  liquid pearls in the centre of each.  

3 very pretty images off the CD, I do love this CD and use the papers and images a lot. 

 

Apricot flowers with butterfly

I have done another card for Fat Cats Card Corner using the Marianne Creatables Anja corner die, this time in just two corners, at the bottom I have embossed it with a K.Kingdom embossing folder called "Leaves and Butterflies", and separating the two areas with an apricot ribbon.  

The flowers are done with two different dies.  The apricot coloured ones done with the Cheery Lynn Cheery Blossom die, using 3 of the bigger sized ones and 2 of the smaller ones.  The white one in the centre, is done with the flower die from the Marianne Craftables Rectangle die 1202.  I cut 4 of the largest size dies, one of the middle size and two of the smallest size.  I have put pearls into each of the centres.

Behind the flowers I have put parts of the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die.  Lastly I have put a Kaleidoscope Butterfly by Memory Box, and the sentiment is done with the smallest of the Crafts two Victorian Rectangle nesting dies.

75th Birthday Card for my Mum

I have made two different cards, one of which will be for my Mum

I have been experimenting with the new Marianne Creatables Anja Corner die I have just purchased from Fat Cats Card Corner, and the Spellbinder Rose Creation dies that I have also bought.  The Anja Corner die has turned out to be a bit problematic, as if you do more than one corner, the process of embossing the second corner, ends up flattening the first ones embossing.  I think you are supposed to purchase two of them, and emboss and cut two at the same time.  

This card is again in the red and white, that I find so striking!  I have done alternative corners, so that you only need to put it through the cuttlebug partially on the second corner, so that you don't flatten the first one. 

The roses I have done various different size combinations for the rose creations dies.  The large one in the middle, I used the second to biggest for the bottom two petals, and then the 3rd to larges for the other 3 petals in the centre.  The two roses and the buds are done with the 2nd and 3rd to smallest sizes 3 of the smallest ones and two of the larger one.  the partly opened bud is made with two the the 2nd to smallest sized and the buds at the outside top and bottom are done with just one of the 2nd to smallest die as well.  The calyx is done with a small star shaped 5 petalled flower punch.  The leaves are done in a variety of sizes.  The second size of the rose creations leaf die for the 6 middle ones.  I cut the next two on each size out in freehand, and then the small ones by the outside bud is done with the Martha Stewart rose leaf punch.  I inked them with two different coloured ink pads, one called olive and one bamboo around the edges.  The sentiment is done on the computer and the numbers are done with the Cuttlebug Typewriter Die set.  

The second card I did with the Spellbinder Rose Creations dies again, but changed the background on this one.  

I have done the corners of the background with the Nellie Snellen corner dies, and then embossed it with the Cuttlebug dots folder.  The frame is a Couture Creations Fleur de Frame nesting die.  I have to say, I find this die really difficult to get your card out of the die once you have embossed it.  Even using wax paper between the die and the card, it is still tricky to get out, and I quite often find the little thin bits on the side tear.  Its very pretty though.  I have faintly sponged the edges with an orchid coloured stamp pad to match the centre of the flowers, also done in that colour.  

I did the flowers a little differently than the red and white card above, these ones I did the whole flower with the same sized die, but each flower is a size smaller die, as you go down the bunch.  The leaves are done with the same way and the same colours as the above card.  

I have done the sentiment again on the computer, and the number is done with the Sizzix 'Funky Brush' Alphabet die set.  I have just realised that I had been going to put some pink pearls onto the punch whole at the bottom of the frame to hide it, and then maybe in the corners as well just to 'bling' it up a little. I will go back and fix that up.  

Now all I have to do is pick which one I want to give to Mum for her birthday.  I think it will probably be the pink one, as that is more her, but not totally sure yet.  

  

Red Roses and White Lace

This was quite a simple wee card.

Firstly I made two strips of white and two strips of red borders cut with the Martha Stewart Lace Doily border punch.  

Then I put down a strip of the red.  From there I used the smallest sized die in the Leane Creatif Frame curved Die set.  I cut 3 out of white card and spaced them out along the red strip.  

I then made 3 of the Cheery Lynn Cuties 3 flowers in the red and made the leaves using another of the Leane Creatief dies, this time the nested Frame leaves die, which I cut out individually and up them into each corner of the frame die, tucking the end under the rose.  

Kitten Card

I have been making some cards with another of the Joanna Sheen CDs, this one is the Giordano Kittens and Puppies one.  There are some very cute images. 

This one I have done for Fat Cats Card Corner, using the Frame Curved Lea'bilities Die.  This one is using the largest sized one.  

I have used a backing paper from another of Joanna Sheen CD, 'From the Heart of the Garden' by Jane Shasky.  The sentiment is done with one of the Marianne Creatables word dies. 

Lastly some sparkly dots and some ribbon and it is finished. Quite a quickie to do, but the frame makes it look fancier than it is.  

1 Stamp 2 Cards

I have made two more cards for Fat Cats Card Corner who I am part of their Design team.  The stamp is one of the Loralie Design Art Stamps.  This is the first time I have used any of these ones, and I have to say I am surprised how much fun it was, coming up with designs and patterns for the clothing.  

This one is called Charlotte.

My daughter talked me into doing bright colours, so she would suggest colours and I would colour each part in, and then she made the suggestions of the designer papers.  They are 'Doodlebug' papers. Her favourite colour combination is lime green and pink.  The sentiment is a Marianne creatables word die.

I have put a handmade flower onto each of the flowers on the stamp and the ones in the corners.  

The second one I have kept it simpler, and used black and white.

I have put pearls in the centre of the flowers and her necklace and earring.  A damask black and white paper for the backing paper, and a white and black ribbon strip in the centre.  The sentiment is done on the computer and cut out with spellbinder scallop and circle die.

Two Mothers Day Cards

I have decided to do the two Mother's day cards early, to take the pressure off in May when I am trying to think what to get for both my Mum and my mother-in-law.

They are both done using images and backing papers from the Jane Shasky 'From the Heart of the Garden' produced by Joanna Sheen.  I absolutely love this CD set, and plan to use it lots!

The first one is a blue one and is an simple easel card

I have made the image of the blue flowers which I think might be 'forget me nots' in a Royal Dalton teapot narrower than the base of the card.  I have used the matching backing paper for the  bottom of the card, a sentiment cut out with the spellbinder Labels 4, and another two of the smaller images.  The flowers I have used the Cheery Lynn 'Cherry Blossom' die, and the Nellie Snellen Stamen Floral punch.  The flowers I coloured in with pencils.  

The second one is pretty pink

This one I have made the card with a asymmetrical front to it, and mounted the flower image with silver and pink to sit in the middle.  A smaller image is used at the bottom next to the flower.

The flower is made again with the Cheery Lynn 'Cherry Blossom' die and their Stacker Leaves, and the Nellie Snellen Stamen Floral punch.  

I have put the backing paper that I used for the front on the inside as well, I have mounted the matching sentiment on the inside part, so that it could be seen from the front as well.
