Pink and Brown cupcakes

This card I have used one of the Joy Crafts new Vintage Flourishes dies, this one the Cupcake 6003/0021

For this I have also used the Marianne Creatables Designer Doily LR0130 which I mounted on brown card.  The cupcakes are mounted on some embossed card, with the Brocade Craft concepts embossing folder.  The happy birthday banner is cut freehand with a variety of patterned pastel papers and threaded on some pink embroidery floss that I tied in a knot each end.  The words are done with some letter dots I have had for quite a while.  Finally a brown ribbon with pink hearts and three sparkly dots.

Crosses

I have made two cards using the Marianne Creatables cross LR0252 die for Fat Cats Card Corner, one I have made very simplistic and one is definitely over the top!!!!

The first one I have kept very simple

I have mounted the cross on sapphire blue foil card, and then mounted that on the Bradshaw Couture Creations Embossing folder. This too is mounted on more of the sapphire blue foil card.  Finally I finished it off with some tiny wee sapphire gems and some peel craft words for the sentiment.

The second is completely the other end of the spectrum!

This one I cut the cross out in gold foil card and threaded some cream lace on both axis and popped a pearl in the middle.
This is mounted on the Marianne Creatables floral Circle die 129.  I have mounted this out on some foam pads.  The paper in the background is a Anna Griffin designer paper, with a piece of cream lace.  The flowers are made with the Cheery Lynn Build a flower #2 die set, in some cream pearlised paper, with the Nellie Snellen stamen punch in gold and a pearl in the middle.  The leaves are the Marianne Creatables Anja leaves 1 die.  Finally the sentiment is done of the computer and mounted on some gold foil card, then some flourishes done with tiny pearls.

Merry Christmas Songbook

I can't believe how fast the last month has gone, and how long it has taken me to get back to my blog.  It has been crazy!  Anyway, I finally made it, so thought I would put a Christmas Card I have just made.  Another one for Fat Cats Card Corner.

I have used the Marianne Creatables Open Book die which I printed on the music for We wish you a Merry Christmas, and the Sentiment.  I have mounted in on the Crafts Concept Fancy Frame Embossing folder.  Behind that I have used some Christmas patterned paper.  I smudged a bit of gold ink pad on the page edges, to highlight the embossed pages.

The Roses I used the Cherry Lynn Build a flower #2 and also the leaves, It is very easy to make really lovely Roses with these petal shapes.

21st Birthday Card

I have made a card for a friends daughter who is turning 21 and having a party.  I decided to have a go at a swing card.  I found a great template here which meant I draw my own template.

I used a pretty pink designer paper, and thought the black trim would look more youthful.
I made the two borders with the Spellbinder Partisian Accents die set, and threaded pink narrow ribbon through the base.  I made the flowers with a pear punch for the petals and a sun punch for the centres.  Some black ribbon tied in loops and punched leaves to finish it off.

The two Sentiments at the front and back were done on the computer.  I have used the Memory Box Kaleidoscope butterfly cut out also in black one at the front and one at the back of the swing part.  Finally the number was done on my Silhouette Cameo.

Blue Owl

Another card for Fat Cats Card Corner.  This one is using the Little Owlette die by Die Versions.

I have used the die to do the blue centre owl, but have also used it in the background.  I lightly inked the die, and then used it to emboss the card for the background, doing random embosses all over it.  The frame around the owl is made with the

Cards using some recycled materials

A group I belong to have a monthly Theme and Technique which we can make a card for if we wish.  This months was Theme: using recycled materials, and the Technique was to revisit punches and dies you have and look at a different way to make a flower with it.

This card I have used some paper that was around a flower bouquet that I was given some time ago, which has this lovely dreamy floral pattern on one side and a plain mauve on the back.  I have used it for the background and framed it with the other side colour.  The birdcage is the Gilded Birdcage by Crafty Individuals, which I have use some card that I recycled from an Easter egg box last Easter, which was a lovely rich purple colour.  I then used the Marianne creatables flower set LR0145.  I used the largest size, and cut 4 out for each flower.  I have then cut a slit between every petal towards the centre but not quite to the hole in the centre.  Then I moulded them to make the into a cup shape, and layered them onto a mauve brad, alternating the petals.  I put a bit of stickles.  The sentiment is the centre of the Couture creations Fleur de Frame nesting die set.  The bird is from the Marianne Creatables Bird on a Branch die.  The leaves are from the Cheery Lynn build a Flower #2 die set.

This one, the green and white patterned card is cut from a tissue box, which I have mounted on the Cuttlebug Wicker Weave embossing folder.  The feathers were saved from a card my daughter was given last birthday. The flower is supposed to be a begonia from the Cheery Lynn Build a flower #2 set.  The sentiment is cut with a Spellbinders ribbon tag trio, and some white ribbon.  Quite a simple card this one.

Flower Doily

These two cards were done with the Marianne Creatables Flower doily and flower die set I have done for Fat Cats Card Corner.

The first one is done with pink and cream card, I have done the doily in the cream and backed it in the pink.  I have done a doily in pink and then cut out four of the lattice parts to form the corners.  The words are done with another Marianne Creatables die, Just for you Thanks LR0224 Die, and then the bottom border is done with a Die-namics die Faux Crochet border die.

The flower is made with the die that comes with the set also, I have used 5 of them cut out, and have shaped each one slightly, more so as I worked into the centre, so that the middle two are quite cupped.  Then I have layered them one inside the other.  Finally I put some pearls.

The second card is a black and white card with a butterfly and the flower done slightly differently.

I have backed the white flower doily  which I cut the centre out of the doily and then backed it with black card, so that it showed the black around the cut out centre, and then filled in behind that with white card so that you couldn't see the ribbon.  The sentiment is done on the computer and then cut out with the Spellbinder fancy tag 2 die, again backed in black.  The flower I have cut out a black one and a white one and put them together, alternating the petals.  In the centre of the doily I have put the Kaleidoscope Butterfly Die, again backed with black card.

Gilded cage

These two cards were using the Crafty Individuals Die 'Gilded Cage' available at Fat Cats Card Corner.

This first one is done with the Marianne Designable Cut and emboss folder number 908.
The gilded cage die, I have done in two colours the pink of the flowers and cage, and the green of the branch.  The cage I then put stickles on so that it was sparkly.  The pink flowers I have moulded slightly and put a gold bead in the middle then stuck it onto the flower on the branch.  The sentiment is done on the computer and then cut out with the centre tag in the Couture Creations Universal nesting Fleur de Frame and three tiny crystals.

This one I have cut the complete die with some gold mirror board, I also cut the aperture out of the front of the card, framed it with an oval of the same gold mirror board, and then some apricot designer paper also cut out with the oval, again mounted on the gold mirror board.  The bird is the Marianne Creatables Bird on a branch, done in a dark brown, with it's wing done in some cream glitter card.  Finally the sentiment is cut out with the Victorian rectangles Crafty too die.  Behind the aperture, I have mounted some tiny rosebud paper on the inside of the card, so it is seen through it.

Cut and Emboss Designables folder

I was asked to do some cards with the Marianne Designables Cut and Embossing folder Number 908, for Fat cats card corner

I have made one that is a general card, and a wedding card.

This one I have backed the folder with turquoise and black.  The roses are the Royal Rose Die-namics die and the black leaves are done with two of the 3 leaves by Marianne Creatables.  Behind the turquoise and black part is the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Wicker Weave.

This one I have mounted the Emboss and Cut folder on silver (looks gold in the photo) mirror board, and this is mounted on the Brocade embossing folder by craft concepts.

The flowers are made with the cherry blossom die by Cheery Lynn with pearls in the centre, I have used two different Marianne creatables dies for the leaves, 3 leaves and Anja leaves 1 dies, and then the corners of the Leane Creatief Nesting leaves frame die, for the rose type leaves.

Summer Fairy & Wee love you bunches

In the latest Australian Simply Cards magazine there was a very cute set of cling stamps
as a free gift
I have made 5 cards for little girls with them, trying different shaped cards and an idea I had seen using lace instead of ribbon for a bow, and one where the ribbon is ruched. The first three are with the Wee Love you bunches stamp.

This one I have cut out the shape of the card with the Silhouette Cameo with a nesting file that is available at Silhouette studio.  I have used a white and blue punched butterfly, a fabric flower and a brad in the centre and the lace in a bow with a pearl.

This one again is made with another nesting file from Silhouette Studio, and I have used a designer paper for the background.  The tag for the sentiment is also a cutting file.  Another couple of butterflies with the two tones of card to complete it.

This one I have used a set of papers called Pretty please Spring papers which was also a free gift with a cardmaking magazine.  There is two different papers in strips at the back and a contrasting one I have used as a panel across the bottom.  Again I have used a couple of fabric flowers with a pearl brad in the middle, and some lace to trim the bottom border.  I have used a doily which is a cut file and the sentiment is one of the stamps from the stamp set.

These two are with the other stamp called Summer Fairy
This Mauve one is made with three different mauve floral papers, I have used mauve and black card for the mountings, I have also used the black with the cuttlebug corner die.  Finally a strip of lace and the sentiment stamp from the stamp to finish it off.

The final one is my favourite, I have used gingham paper for the background, and another pink patterned paper on top of that, I have used a silhouette studio cutting file for the lacy border.  The flowers are the rolled royal rose die by die-namics, and the flourish die is fanciful flourish by Cheery Lynn.  Finally I have ruched the ribbon and popped a pearl on the centre of the bow.

White Roses Wedding Card

We have a nephew getting married next year, so while I was making some other cards, with these roses, I would make a card to put away until then.

The embossed background is the Couture creations Romantic Creation this one called  Bradshaw, which I have mounted on some silver mirror card.

The roses I have made in 4  different sizes with vinca flower punches , the leaves are made with the Spellbinder Foliage leaves.  The silver sprigs are done with the Marianne Creatables 3 leaves dies.

Hot pink birthday card

This card is done with some more of my handmade paper roses and rosebuds, and cutting file leaves.

The sentiment is peelcraft and the tag is a spellbinder one.  The background is two of the  Marianne designable cut and emboss Anja dots folders joined in the middle with the ribbon.

Rolled roses Birthday Card

Another card with a very similar layout as the previous post.  This time I have used the K Kingdom Leaves and Butterflies embossing folder.  The same frame is used with the sentiment.  The roses are done with a cutting file by Bird.  I have this time sponged it with a red stamp pad.  The flourish is a Silhouette Studio flourish cutting file.

Cherry Blossom Birthday

A birthday card.  This one is done with the Palm leaves cuttlebug embossing folder, the Framed Curved Leabilities Die with the sentiment done on the computer.  The Fanciful Flourish  for the leaves and flourish and Cherry Blossom die for the flowers both from Cheery Lynn.  The tiny flowers are the sakura flower punch.  I have sponged the edges of the emabossed background and the frame with baby pink stamp ink.

3 colour versions

I have done three Birthday cards, all pretty much the same, other than their colours.

They are all done with the Marianne Designables  Flourish and dots cut and emboss folder for the background and the Dienamics Leafy flourish die. Then some homemade roses and rose buds.

Welcome Abigail Rose

I have made this card to welcome my first Grand Niece to the world, and congratulate her parents on their wee baby girl.

I have done the drawing of the clothesline, the cutting of the baby clothes and the letters for her name on the Silhouette Cameo.  The pegs I just cut by hand out of a strip of brown card, and the Welcome is done on the computer.  Some brads, gems and ribbons to pretty it up and viola...

Here is Abigail Rose
