Distress Ink water colour Panel card

This card was a fairly easy card to make, and a great one to have a go at if you are new to using distress inks to watercolour.

I started off by stamping the two of the flower stamps from the Hennah Elements stamp set with versamark ink and embossing them with white embossing powder onto watercolour paper.
I then did a wash of water colour over the entire piece with picked raspberry and squeezed lemonade distress inks.  I took a wet baby wipe and rubbed some of the colour off where the flowers were, then put a heavier wash of the picked raspberry ink over the flowers.

I trimmed the panel down and mounted it onto some hot pink card and then onto my card base.  I finished it off by making a banner with a sentiment, put a few droplets around the sentiment and it was done!

The supplies I used for this card are:

Bockingford Artist grade Watercolour pad
Altenew Hennah Elements stamp set
Paper Xtra Happy Birthday sentiment stamp
Ranger White Embossing powder
Heat tool
No 4 & 8 round paint brushes
Distress Ink Picked Raspberry
Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade
White card base 5 X 7 inches
Hot Pink Trophee card
Double sided tape
foam mounting tape
Pretty Pink posh 4mm & 6mm droplets
