Today I have two cards I have made for Fat Cats Card Corner. They are made with the Lea'bilities Couple die.
The first is done using paper piecing to do the couple. I cut the dies out with white, black, red, beige and grey card, and then cut all the different parts of the dies out except the white ones which I kept whole as a base. I inked the faces and hair in on the white die cuts, and then glued all the parts of the clothing on top.
The gold panel is made with the Spellbinders radiant rectangles die set and this has been put on a piece of a pearlised gold damask paper and then this was matted in gold. Then glued onto the card base, which is 5 x 7 inches.
A bow made with white seam binding and a pearl heart embellishment finished this card off. I have purposely not put a sentiment on this one, as I am not sure what occasion I will use it for, so will put on the appropriate sentiment at the time I use it.
The second card is using the dies cut out of black card, and I have used the Creative Expressions Sue Wilson embossing folder Victorian Tiles ( I love this embossing folder) two ways. I embossed some white card and cut it a little bit bigger than the couple and matted it with black card.
I then used the folder again to make a strip panel by inking the embossing folder and embossing it on to white card, and then putting clear embossing powder onto it and heating it with my heat tool. I then cut out the strip that was a little shorter than my card base and matted it with black card and mounted it onto my card base. Before I stuck down my white panel I put some black satin ribbon down the length of the panel and put a black satin bow at the top.
I glued my couple onto the white panel, put a trio of black pearls onto the top right hand corner, used the Elizabeth crafts best wishes sentiment on the bottom right hand corner and that completed the second card.
I hope you liked these cards. You can check out my card tutorial below.
