Floral Lace Heart Valentine card

Happy New Year to you.  I have been having a break from doing my blog and Youtube channel over the Christmas New Year time.  Well I say a break, I may have had a break from doing the posts, but I worked all the way through, except having 2 days off for each Christmas and New Year weekends, plus I have been doing quite a bit of crafting, just a different kind of crafting instead of cards.  My husband and I do quite a bit of vintage upcycling of furniture and thrift shop finds, so I was doing some of that, plus I stripped the wallpaper off my laundry, ready to redecorate, so I wasn't exactly sitting around for any of it, but I am glad to be back to doing cards, blogs and videos, and hopefully the break from that has made me refreshed with ideas for some new cards.

I am starting off with a clean and simple card for Valentines.

I purchased this Impression Obsession Design Die, as I thought it should be quite versatile, but for this card I have kept in simple with a blended background.  This was done with the colours picked raspberry, wilted violet and salty ocean distress inks, but because I was doing it on regular white card, I didn't get a perfect blend, but it was alright as you wouldn't see much behind the die cut anyway.

I glued the negative space and the die cut onto the blended background, stamped a sentiment, and put a sprinkle of Pretty Pink posh clear sparkling sequins and that was the card.

I have the video of making the card here

The materials I used were
Card base and front panel 5 x 7inches
IOD Floral lace heart die
Ebosser
Magic tape
Distress inks
Ranger mini blending tool and sponges
Spellbinder tool in one
Uhu glue tape runner
Cosmic shimmer glue
Quilled precision applicator bottle
brushed lettering sentiment stamp
Versafine onyx black ink
Ranger clear embossing powder
Heat tool
Misti
PPP clear sparkling sequins 4mm
EK success tweezers

I hope you got some inspiration and have a go at this one.
