Love You Valentines Card

This is a card I saw a card very similar in layout on the altenew site and decided I would do my own spin on it and use the Garden Picks 3D roses to decorate it. 

I started out by cutting the word ‘LOVE’ out with large letter dies about the middle of a card panel.

I cut out a strip of blue card, and stamped ‘from the heart’ repeatedly along the strip, then trimmed it. 

I cut out 3 of the rose components out of some scrap blue card in 4 shades.  These craft-a-flower die sets are such great ways to use up scraps.  I plan to get a few more, as I love how they look.  Then did a bunch of leaves with 2 shades of green scraps.

So once my flowers were done, my strip and the card panel were all done, I can start putting my card together. I cut out some craft foam to go in behind the LOVE panel and then stuck a piece of pale blue card in behind to make the word ‘pop’.  I then stuck it all down on my card base.  Next I arranged some leaves and flowers and the stamped strip, having some roses on top and some underneath the strip.  I then stuck them all down, using some foam tape on some of them.  I love how this card turned out, and it’s going to be given to my husband for Valentines day.
