Two for one border card

 This card is not my idea, it is the idea of the genius Jennifer McGuire Ink. She used some different stamps but the idea is the same.

You make a panel that is double the size of your card bases, draw a line vertically down the middle, then stamp or put die cut flowers down the centre and then cut it in half and you have two cards with a border on each. Genius!!

I used a whole lot of different Altenew layering stamps I have, you could use any you had, and I stamped a range of different colours and different flowers and leaves, as I wasn’t sure which ones I would use, you could just do a couple of colours if you preferred.  I then fussy cut them all out. You could equally stamp a range of flowers and colour them in by whichever medium you prefer. 

 

My piece of card measures 7” x 10” with a line drawn at 5” as that will be where I cut out my two card panels.  I then fiddled around putting flowers and leaves down either side and on the line, checking that it was going to look ok when cut by placing the card base over each side and making any adjustments I might need to until I was happy.  I then glued down them all, some I used foam tape to raise them a little.  When I had them all stuck on, I then cut down the middle line with a guillotine. 

 

All I had to do then was to stick them onto my card bases, a dotted a few flat back pearls on them to give a bit of bling and they were ready.  This was quite an easy way to make two cards quickly.  I even had enough flowers to make two more cards in the next video!
