Flower die cut aperture card & 10,000 subscribers on You tube giveaway!

This card is quite an easy card this time.  I don’t usually buy the co-ordinating dies to go with stamp sets, but this time I did, so I wanted to try a different technique where I cut out the flowers with the dies, and then have the stamped flowers behind the die cut panel.  I am using the Altenew Garden treasures stamp and dies. So I gave it a go.  It took some thought, I wasn’t sure which I should do first, the die cutting or the stamping. If I did the stamping first then I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to see where to do the cutting, so I decided to do that first.

So I cut out a stitched rectangle card base, and a stitched rectangle card panel smaller than the card base.  Then taking the card panel, I cut out the daisy flower and then one of the sprigs of flowers and leaves on either side of the daisy.  I then stamped the sentiment onto the card panel so that was finished with for now.

The next thing to do was put the card base and the card panel, how I am going to have them into the misti, and then laid the daisy stamp onto the cut out daisy on the card panel, closed the lid to pick up the stamp, and then took away the card panel, to stamp the flower onto the card base.  I did all three layers, masked the daisy stamipng, then repeated the process for the sprigs, although there is only the outline stamp for this one, so I then coloured it with some zig real colour brush markers.

Then back to the die cut card panel, I put some craft foam onto the back so that it would be raised off of the stamping on the card base and then stuck that down.
For this technique I think you need to keep it simple, so that you don’t have problems get the die cutting and stamping to line up.

That is the card complete. Here is a video of me making the card, if you prefer to watch it in full HD on my Youtube channel then that is here
