Purple lace and flowers shabby Chic card

Today's card is a little bit different than I have been making lately.
I have made a shabby chic card. Me and my husband make shabby chic and vintage home decor products and upcycle old furniture, and I like to have a few cards in the same style when we have a fair to go to. I really enjoy making these cards.

I recently bought one of the Joanna Sheen Card collection boxes, this one is Issue 2 and has a lace and cameo theme.  I used three of the papers and the border die out of the kit to make this card.  I always make a box for the card to go in, because usually I have quite a bit of dimension with the flowers and it makes it a little more special.

I started off by putting one of the plain papers onto the card base after I had distressed it around the edges and put a couple of tears into the paper.  I then glued the border die along the right hand edge and then layered that with one of the lacy papers with craft foam on the back to give it some dimension.  Next I put a heart shaped doily onto this and started arranging some mulberry paper flowers, roses, magnolias or gardenias, lillies and sweetheart blossoms.  A bow of white seam binding and some leaves around the arrangement.  Then the final touches of a paper clay cherub and a molded butterfly, to make it look a little more special.  Finally a sentiment cut out with a scalloped die, and some little bling dots to finish it off.

Here is a video on making the card
