My first Tilda!

I wanted to share with you my first try at a Magnolia Tilda stamped card.  I was involved in a swap with our Penny Flowers group, which was to make a teapot or tea cup card and send it to a person in our group that was randomly picked for us.  I decided to do the teapot card as an easel card, I had seen some lovely ones on the Internet, with various different layouts and I just love all the magnolia cards with the lace and flowers and pretty designer papers, so I thought it was a good opportunity to have a go at one. I am very pleased with the result, and am thoroughly hooked on the Magnolia-licious type cards (which are another card group I have just joined). I coloured 'Jam Tilda' with watercolour pencils, with some kindyglitz highlights, she is sitting on an oval and scalloped oval background done with Spellbinder dies.  I sponged light blue stamp ink around the edge of the oval after I had embossed it with the Birds and swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Lace, gingham ribbon, blue crystals, and a pearl heart embellishment all helped lift the two different designer papers that I had used. The base of easel was done with the classic circle and scalloped circle nestabilites, and I printed the saying on the computer.  Lastly the flowers are some ultimate roses in two different colours and a pompom flower which I did some kindy glitz on the centre quilled centre.  Angie who I sent the card to loved it which was wonderful to hear.
