Spotlight Flower Card

This card I have done something similar before, and I really like the effect, so decided to do it again.  There are lots of them like this out there, and I have seen quite a few done with the Beautiful Day stamp set, but this time I decided to use the Wallpaper Art stamp set.

The main thing you need to do is have your front panel and your card base the exact size and you need to use a stamp positioning tool to make sure you are stamping in exactly the same position on both card base and front panel.

So decide where you want to have the stamps and start stamping each part of the arrangement, masking as you go, and swapping between the card base and front panel, making each one an exact replica of the other one.

Once you have finished the stamping then take the front panel and cut this down to what size you want the coloured portion to be, this can be whatever you like.  I decided to just cut 2cm off all the way around.

Then colour what is left of the front panel only.  I used copics and used a flicking method with 3 shades of the purple and greens.

I then found a piece of card that was a good match for the purples I had used, and stuck my front panel down onto this and then trimmed so only a few millimetres of the colour was showing as a frame.  I also used this to stamp my sentiment on and then cut this out in a strip.

That's pretty much it... and such a cool effect. The last time I did one of these cards, I did the flower stamping just at the top, I have seen lots of variations to this idea.  Check them out and have a go.

I have a video of making the card.

If you would prefer to see it in full HD then hop over to my You Tube channel here.

The materials I used to make the card are:
